Over the last year many of us have had time to consider our vocation and to seek God about our future ministry. Licensed Lay Ministers (LLMs, formerly Readers) are people of all ages and backgrounds, who God has called to teach the faith, enable mission and lead in church and society, in the local parish and communities they serve.
LLMs are uniquely placed to be in the world of work, and serve within the church, bringing their experience of living authentic faith in their communities to their churches.
All LLMs are licensed by the Bishop of Blackburn to their parishes. The training is 2 years part time – and you have the great opportunity of enrolling in the new Emmanuel College, opening September 2021. The focus is on formation for ministry, training in context and the academic programme also challenges students how they are growing as disciples.
So, would you like to find out more?
We are hosting two zoom evenings to introduce you to this exciting ministry, on Thursday 15 April and Wednesday 28 April, both at 7.30 -8.30pm.
Please email Siobhan.trickett@blackburn.anglican.org to sign up for one of the introductory evenings.
