P
eople from some churches in neighbouring Liverpool Diocese have got together to organise the FREE 'Surfstage Festival', described as an event at which 'spirituality, creativity and music collide'.
The event was founded by Rachel Birkett and Katie Street from St John's Church in Burscough.
Its now in its sixth year it is taking place over the weekend of July 5/6 on a field just over the border in our Diocese, in Parbold. In 2024 more than 3000 people attended Surfstage.
Artists headlining include Gas Street Music, Philippa Hanna, and Moses Brothers. Although the event itself is free if you want to make a weekend locally of it then camping is just £25 per adult.
