Resources to support young peoples' confirmation

We are excited to introduce 'Confirmed: Rooted in Faith, Growing in Christ' a new short video series produced right here in our Diocese to support confirmation of young people.

The videos are coming in late October and you will start to see them promoted further across our communications channels, including Parish Update ebulletin and also on social media.

Our Diocese seeks to inspire young people to joyfully follow Jesus, we take individuals growth in faith seriously and recognise the importance that Confirmation plays as part of that growth.

Thanks to the great work of priests and lay-leaders, young people right across our diocese - including many 11-13 years olds - are thinking through whether they want to own their baptism promises for themselves. Parishes use various courses to prepare young people for this important commitment based upon what is right for their contexts and for their people.

Alongside this critical preparation, we want to help our young people to get to know the bishops who may be confirming them and hear something of their experience of faith.

That's why we have introduced 'Confirmed: Rooted in Faith, Growing in Christ', our short video series which can be used in a variety of ways to prepare for the Confirmation service itself. Although particularly for young people, older people interested in finding out more about confirmation may also appreciate watching the video series.

The Bishops' videos are also accompanied by a separate Leaders' Video (allowing Bishop Philip to speak directly to those who will lead the course) and a trailer which can be used in church or school.
