Community Missioner

St Matthew's Church, Burnley, BB11 4JH

Would you like to be part of a lively and growing church? We’re looking for someone to join our friendly team and contribute their ideas and skills to our mission.  

Our parish vision for this role is to grow disciples of Jesus Christ in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). The post holder will live out the Gospel by proclaiming Jesus in word and action in a rewarding but challenging environment.  

The specific focus of the role is to continue to provide ‘ways in’ to church and faith for people who are new to Christianity or who haven’t recently had a living and active faith. Part of the role will also be building up leadership capacity and skills in others.

Outreach Cook

St Philip's Centre, Nelson, BB9 9XB

We are looking for someone who loves Jesus, loves people and loves cooking to help us fulfil our aims of hospitality, outreach and community building.

The vision of St Philip’s Centre is to be a place of Hospitality, Help and Hope with Jesus at the centre.  The post holder will help fulfil our aims of hospitality, outreach and community building at St Philip’s Centre and also at St John’s Church Centre.They will help community to form around sharing food and learning new skills.  They will be passionate about everyday cooking and healthy eating.  They will be a committed Christian eager to share the good news of Jesus alongside our team.  We hope that 
they can help us build sustainability through a social enterprise.
