Tomorrow a short pre-recorded service of worship, led by Rt Rev. Philip North, Bishop of Burnley, will be available on the Diocesan YouTube channel from 9am.

The service was recorded via Zoom in the Bishop's chapel. You can follow the service using this service sheet

You can also watch a recent video on the YouTube channel from Bishop Philip as the Coronavirus outbreak continues ...

All our Bishops and Archdeacons recorded videos before the recent restrictions on movement and one is being released every few days.

In his video released on Thursday the Bishop says: “This time of not being able to worship publicly is for us a time of exile. It’s a time when we can’t delight in the things we normally enjoy …

“We should lament those times. There is nothing wrong with sharing our grief and anguish with God. But for the Jewish people, the time of exile was an incredible time of growth.

“May you meet Jesus more deeply in prayer and, as you miss being together, may you also come a fresh realisation of the privilege that we have of being part of a Christian family.”
