Following similar events in December and March, there will be another Half Night of Prayer on June 6 from 7pm to 11pm, this time at St Thomas' Church, Lancaster. Mark it in your diary.
Our Bishops will attend and lead some of the prayer sessions.
This latest Prayer Night is taking place during, and as part of, the national 'Thy Kingdom Come' Church of England prayer initiative that takes place every year between Ascension and Pentecost and we will be praying for growth and renewal in the Diocese.
All are invited and we would love to see as many as possible from around the Diocese attending as we join with people praying from around the nation and the world during Thy Kingdom Come.
These Half Nights of Prayer are happening as we continue into our Year of Prayer for Growth and Renewal across the Diocese.
During 2025 we are called to be praying together for new and deeper disciples for Jesus Christ and that we will be renewed in the power of the Holy Spirit for a season of mission throughout our centenary year 2026.
The draft order for this event will be:
7pm - Gather
7.15pm - Eucharist with sung worship from band at St Tees
8pm - 1st hour - themed around Psalm 126 that 'Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.'
