Deanery Mission Training Event
Ingol St Margaret's Church
To be held on Wednesday 14 May 2025, at 7.30pm
As part of the celebration of our Diocesan Centenary in 2026, Bishop Philip has called for a Diocesan-wide weekend of parish mission and outreach, between September 11-13, 2026.
Every parish across the Diocese is invited to put on a weekend in which simple events are held, to which both Christians and non-Christians can be invited. There should also be an accessible presentation of what it means to be a follower of Jesus; the opportunity to do something special with Sunday morning services and a 'follow-up' opportunity to invite people to soon after the weekend, such as an Alpha Course.
Diocesan Renewal Lead, Rev Steve Haskett, is attending meetings of Deanery Synods over several months in 2025; including this one. During the meeting, Steve and his team will share video messages from Bishop Philip and Bishop Joe and will help parishes begin to think how they might engage with this exciting initiative and what kinds of things might be possible in their context. This is an 'open Deanery Synod' so Churchwardens, Vision Champions, Licensed Lay Ministers and Authorised Lay Ministers are all invited to attend alongside regular Deanery Synod members.
