Special day for 100+ Licensed Lay Ministers

More than 100 Licensed Lay Ministers will gather with friends and family in Blackburn Cathedral on March 2 at 3pm for their triennial relicensing service, led by Bishop Philip. All are welcome.

Licensed Lay Ministers have many varied roles in their parishes, including preaching, leading services, pastoral work and teaching. They play a vital role in the overall ministry of the Diocese; in serving their churches and helping their communities.

The opportunity will also be taken at the service to thank all those retiring from Licensed Lay Ministry, some of whom have served more than 30 years in their ministry.
