Mission Companions

Mission Companions are priests who have volunteered to help other parishes on their mission journey. They are able to help with PCC discusions, Away-Days, Community Audits etc., with the aim of enabling a church to discern a vision for their future, to develop an action plan for mission, and to implement it.  They usually work in pairs and stay in touch with a church for about six months.
Any parish priest can request support from Companions by contacting the Parish Development Team, or in some cases, a Companion may feel led to contact a parish priest directly with an offer of help.
They are not experts; but they are keen to walk alongside parish leaders on their mission journey. They do not report to the diocese - they serve the priest and people in the parish and keep confidences.
