Hyndburn CrestFunding

This project has been funded by Hyndburn working neighbourhood Fund

Aims of the project

The project will recruit volunteers from the local area who will be trained to work alongside paid co-ordinators who will provide support to offenders, ex-offenders and their families. Their aim will be for the volunteers to act as mentors to provide information on training, updating skills preparing C.V’s, interview techniques which will lead to them accessing paid employment

We will also support families with housing and debt issues by giving advice and signposting to other relevant agencies

Referrals

Any agency can refer to the project or families can self refer. All referrals are discussed and allocated on Wednesdays at team meeting. We will contact all referrers and let them know if their referral has been allocated

How the project works

When the referral has been allocated the co-ordinator will visit with a volunteer were possible and carry out an initial assessment. Part of this will be the action plan this will detail the support being offered to the family

Support will be offered to the family in their own homes, attending appointments or in a group setting
