SAFE Projects Manager Nicola Carroll

The SAFE Project specialises in designing bespoke projects in health & wellbeing and for the Criminal justice system.

The SAFE Project is currently funded by Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Constabulary

Lancashire County Council Currently funds a family support project which covers the East of Lancashire, paid staff and trained volunteer mentors provide support to families and individuals where possible in their own homes.

We can provide Support and advice with the following:

* Housing

* Finance and debt

* Training/education

* Voluntary work

* Making new social connections

We accept referrals from professional’s as well self-referrals

Lancashire Constabulary funds an initiative MAX which is a conditional caution scheme this scheme works with males over the age of 25, if they accept a conditional caution they must be assessed and spend 3 sessions working with the SAFE Project. This work currently covers the constabulary’s South Division and SAFE staff and volunteers work from Preston and Skelmersdale Police Stations as well as the Projects 3 mentoring support centres.

There is also a voluntary referral process for the MAX scheme were offenders when arrested can request advice and support from the SAFE Project.

Can you help?

The SAFE Project is always looking for volunteers from all walks of life who would like to provide support to families and individuals on both of the above projects, full training and expenses provided.
