Returns of Finance and Mission

Firstly thank you to Churchwardens and Treasurers for all you do in making sure the financial and mission returns are completed - and submitted to the appropriate organisation.  Increasingly this is done on line.  The matrix below is gives details of what is required, when, and by whom.  Hopefully you will find this a useful reminder.

The returns are required to meet legal and statutory requirements
- at national level for the Church of England and Charity Commission
- at diocesan level to manage finances and determine parish share etc and generate funds from Archbishop's Council
- to ensure that parishes comply with legislation relating to church buildings
- to ensure that parishes comply with health and safety and safeguarding legislation
