Thanksgivings

A Thanksgiving Service is normally given for a new baby by parents who decide that they want to wait and allow their child to make their own choice for Baptism, recognising that it is an entry into the Christian faith and Church.

It is also used as a Service in which to welcome new children to a family, for example, after an adoption.  A Thanksgiving Service can be held in the family's home, as a private service in the Church, or in the main body of a service if the family are regular members of the congregation.

Please contact your local parish priest who will be pleased to discuss a Thanksgiving Service most appropriate to your family's needs with you.
